Wednesday we hosted an Experience CEO Day at Buena Vista National Bank in Warrensburg. Experience CEO Days are designed to give interested sophomores & juniors a chance to visit class and see what CEO is like.

Brian Ury, President of Buena Vista Bank, and the staff were amazing hosts. The students were able to learn about how a bank is a business and the functions of a community bank. We discussed career paths within the banking industry and Brian shared some great advice.
🔸The ability to communicate is very important in any career paths.
🔸Everyday you are interviewing for your next job.
🔸The most successful people get up early & get after it. Don’t wait for opportunities- make them happen by working hard & showing up!

Brian also discussed the importance of knowing your numbers and explained several financial terms such as margins, gross profit, assets, liabilities, balance statements, efficiency ratio and credit reports.

It was an amazing session and these young entrepreneurs learned so much valuable information that will help them as they work through group business and launch their own business next semester.

Thank you @buenavistanationalbank for your time and interest in the CICEO Program!
