Facilitators establish the CEO culture with a goal of creating an environment that is all about learning.

They invent, refine and innovate in ways that connect participants with the community, collaborate with CEO board members and most importantly provide guidance to the participants.

Meet our Facilitator

Melanie Brown.

Melanie Brown is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science with a concentration in Cardiac Rehab. Upon completing her undergrad degree Melanie continued her education at EIU and got her Masters in Science in Exercise Science.  Her passion for helping others live a healthy life has been the driving force behind her career path which has led her to a variety of roles in the past 20 years. From working as the Director of Wellness at the Decatur Family YMCA to pharmaceutical sales and later as a the Development Coordinator at Decatur Memorial Hospital Foundation where she was tasked with event planning and fundraising, Melanie strived to enhance the lives of others in her community. Melanie is a native of Central Illinois and she and her husband Matt have two boys. It was when she decided to stay home with her sons that she launched her 1st business, an in-home daycare. A year later she launched a fitness ministry where she taught fitness classes and offered 1 on 1 personal training. Melanie can be described as enthusiastic, compassionate and hard-working. She has an entrepreneurial spirit and loves coaching others through their entrepreneurial journey. She has been a part of the CICEO program since it began in 2019 and is truly committed to helping the future leaders of our community discover their passion and purpose.
