Tom Kopieka, retired computer programmer and CICEO Mentor, led the students through a session titled “Be a Multiplier.”

Throughout this session Tom shared examples of the 4 different types of people,
Multipliers, Adders, subtractors & dividers.
As the students move towards their next project, group business, Tom encouraged them to keep this information in mind.

He went on to say. “Unfortunately we’ve all experienced being on a team where one or two people don’t contribute or are toxic to the group, also known as a subtractors & dividers. Ask yourself what role you want to have in the success of the group or team you represent.”

A short game of reverse charades helped to demonstrate how every group naturally has these roles…and we observed how our DISC profiles surfaced with the different challenges. It was a fun activity & delivered a great message.
