Yesterday the students had their 1st speaker of the year. Kevin Breheny, retired President of JL Hubbard Insurance & Bonds spoke to the CICEO students on the importance 1st impressions. Kevin said “You may not {yet} be the CEO of a business, but YOU are the CEO of your life.”

He went on to discuss the importance of 1st impressions such as arriving on time, introducing oneself with confidence & professionalism and being prepared. He also shared 5 nuggets to live by that he has personally applied and what he attributes to his success.
They are:
1. Focus on revenue & more importantly how are you going to be financially independent.
2. Serve others; you can do this as a career or outside of your job if you aren’t in the service industry, but regardless remember that in order to serve others well you must also be well so take care of yourself too.
3. Pick your friends & mentors very carefully. Surround yourself with successful people & you will likely be successful!
4. Figure out how to differentiate yourself from others.
5. Build a personal relationship with God.

Kevin gifted each student with the book The Travelers Gift by Andy Andrews, which shares similar information on how to have personal success.

Thank you Kevin for your time! We truly enjoyed you sharing your story and were so inspired!
